High Season
When you plan your visit to the Rio Dulce keep in mind our high season. The Rio
Dulce is in high demand during Hurricane Season (June through November).
Docks at all the marinas tend to fill up rapidly after May. We typically are sold
out by mid-May of each year. If there are open berths after 1 June, these
berths are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Availability
Any available berth may be secured up to 24 months in advance. the best
method to find out if we have availability is to fill out a reservations request form
on the website. It also helps us get to know what you are looking for. Cruisers
just wanting to park the boat have different desires that those who are staying
and living aboard. Once we have a berth available for you, we will work with
you to make sure it is secured for your visit!
Securing a Berth
We will be happy to hold a berth for your arrival. In order to do this, you will
need to place a deposit against the berth equal to one months rent for that
berth. The Deposit for a berth secures the berth for the entire calendar month.
The calendar month begins on the 1st day of the month and ends on the night of
the last day of the month.
Prices
Berth Prices – Prices for berth are published separately and are available for
download off the Marios Marina Web Site. Our prices are in Guatemalan
Quetsals, but are converted and presented to you in US Dollars for your
convenience. The current exchange rate is available at the Marina Office.
Cancellations and Refunds
Deposits are refundable up to 30 calendar days in advance of the 1st day of the
secured month of a reservation. The deposit will be refunded less a $25 booking
fee. You may transfer your deposit to a following season if you wish without
penalty. PLEASE NOTE Deposits paid using PayPal will be returned via Pay Pal,
All other refunds are only distributed by check from the Banco de
